MyTECH PITCH PROGRAM ORGANIZED BY MINISTRY OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION (MOSTI)

MyTech Pitch program organized by Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) is a pitching platform that engages researchers that have the commercial product with potential startups/venture capitals/angel investors as one of MOSTI's efforts to boost local R&D commercialization activities. MyTech Pitch program is held online every month based on the meet-up concept.

The first session of MyTech Pitch Program was held on March 15, 2021 involving 15 researchers from various institutions of higher learning. Three researchers from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) have been selected as finalists for MyTech Pitch program are      Ts. Dr. Mardawani Mohamad, Ts. Nor Dini Rusli and ChM. Dr. Krishna Veni Veloo. MyTech Pitch program was officiated by YB Khairy Jamaluddin as the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). Next, briefing session of the Program by YBrs. Dr. Nor Azlina Ariffin as Divisional Secretary, Technology Transfer and Commercialization R&D Division of MOSTI.

The representative of FBKT, Ts. Dr. Mardawani Mohamad presented an innovation project entitled "K-BioZyme: Integrated Design of Kenaf Processing and Recovery System" for the pitching session. Researchers need to deliver the pitching session in 5 minutes. After that, interested startups/venture capital/angel investors will discuss further with the researchers in the break-room provided after the entire presentation session. This pitching session provides an opportunity for researchers to promote their findings, innovations, and research outcomes to potential investors and industry players, and exchange informationon local R&D technologies and products among researchers/technopreneurs.
